Apply for this trial

To ensure the ongoing safety of our volunteers, visitors, and unit staff, and to limit the spread of COVID-19, the CUC will be taking some additional precautions. We are being cautious and hope that the precautions are not a cause for concern or alarm.

Before visiting the CUC, we will ask you the following questions:

·         Do you have any symptoms of COVID-19 (new continuous cough/fever/loss of taste or smell)?

·         Have you tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 28 days?

·         Have you been in direct contact with anyone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19?

·         Have you been told to currently self-isolate?

If you answer “yes” to any of these questions, we may need to re-schedule your appointment.  Also please let us know if anything changes before travelling to the unit.

On arrival at the unit,

·         the reception staff will take your temperature,

·          you will be asked to complete and sign a questionnaire covering the questions above.

Before visiting the CUC, we will also need you to provide evidence of a negative Lateral Flow (photographic evidence) test in the 24 hours before your visit. Lateral Flow tests are widely available nationwide.

If you have difficulty accessing a Lateral Flow test, we can organise for you to take one on arrival at the CUC. Please let us know in advance and plan to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment.

If you are being considered for a clinical trial, we will also require you to have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, as a minimum. You will need to provide evidence that you have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine before your visit.

You will be required to wear a face mask before you enter Addenbrookes Hospital and during your visit at the CUC.
